Hey there groovy mutants of the Zappa-verse,

We’re putting together an official Frank Zappa fan book, coming later this year in cahoots with This Day in Music — and guess what? We want you, the beloved, deranged, and delightfully unpredictable Zappa fandom to be the meat in this conceptual sandwich. 

That’s right: this ain’t just another dusty ol’ coffee table number. This is your chance to shove your love for the mustachioed maestro right into the history books. We’re inviting your stories, your memories, and your weirdest Zappa moments to be immortalized on paper for all eternity (or at least until civilization collapses under the weight of bad disco). 

Did you witness the madness live? Were you front row while the band melted your brain into cosmik debris? Maybe there’s a song that slapped you so hard it rewired your DNA. Or maybe you stumbled across Hot Rats in your weird uncle’s vinyl stash and never looked back. However Zappa infected your life—we want to  hear it.

Tell us about the song you fell in love to, the album that narrated your questionable youth or adulthood alike, the lyric that made you laugh, cry, or question your very existence. If Frank’s music has a home in your heart, your glove compartment, or your flashbacks, we want it in this book. 

Were you there from the beginning? Or did you hop aboard the Zappa train somewhere in the bizarre and beautiful detours that followed? Either way, your story matters—and let’s be honest, it’s probably way more interesting than half the things on TV right now.

Send us your words, your photos, your ticket stubs, your crumbling merch, your tattoos, your sacred relics, or anything else from the Church of Zappa that helps paint the picture. We want the noise, the nostalgia, the nonsense. Don’t hold back.
